Students explore the wonderful world of weird and wild art in this fun and creative mixed media summer camp using a variety of materials, step by step instructions and a touch of imagination. Each day students will paint and sculpt a weird and wild creation.

All materials provided. Materials include: watercolor paper, watercolor paints, glue, glitter, tempera, canvas, paint brushes, sharpies, pencil Model Magic, colored pencils, Crayola markers and more

Grades 1 - 6

Foundations of Art: Learning the Basics of Painting and Drawing Techniques is an engaging and interactive kids camp designed to ignite creativity and develop fundamental skills in painting and drawing. Through hands-on activities, fun exercises, and guided instruction, young artists will explore various techniques, including color mixing, shading, perspective, and composition. With a focus on building confidence and unleashing imagination, this camp provides a supportive environment for children to express themselves artistically while laying the groundwork for future artistic endeavors. Join us for a colorful journey of discovery and self-expression!

Day 1:  Drawing Wildlife.

Day 2: Modern Art & Pour Painting.

Day 3: Scratch Board & Multimedia Art.

Day 4: Painting on 3/D Surfaces

Day 5: Fabric Painting

Come design and create your own clothing! Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew garments from scratch, and see their designs come to life! A different garment will be made each day. No sewing experience required. This is a great class for all experience levels as the projects can be adjusted based on skill level.

Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine. If they do not own one, a machine will be provided for them. The week ends with a fashion show on Friday where the students get to display all of their hard work! All materials are included. Camps can be booked AM and PM as well as multiple weeks as projects and fabrics differ from day to day. Repeat student? No problem! We will have a variety of new projects this year! Bring a peanut free snack and beverage.

Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Things will heat up as we examine the sun and other stars and discover the difficulties of space travel! Kids will get a firsthand experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut. For added fun, we’ll learn about the various technologies that make space exploration possible while bouncing lasers around the room! Kids will love to build their own Mad Science Skyblazer Rocket and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch.  Campers will receive many cool NASA take homes items!  

Think and act like NASA Innovators during this hands-on program inspired by NASA’s current missions. The primary focus will include the ARTEMIS mission to the moon during which NASA will land the first woman and next man on the moon’s surface by 2024, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. Kids will love to design their mission patches and build their own rovers as they put themselves in the shoes of an astronaut. The sky is no longer the limit in this hands-on camp!

Tumble Bunnies uses equipment to create fun, energized, and fast moving classes that introduce children to the sport of gymnastics.  Cartwheels, handstands, back walkovers, rolling, and skills taught on floor, bars, beam, mats, tunnels, and trampolines are some examples of what children will learn from Tumble Bunnies' Gymnastics classes. Movement to music is included in every class which creates a fun atmosphere to build coordination, rhythm, and timing.

No special attire necessary.

Ages 5 - 8

Kids will make slime and potions each day to learn about their superpower, mindfulness, and the art of managing emotions and frustrations. Kids will learn how to recognize when they are in a sticky situation and learn strategies to respond to unfriendly classmates, unfriendly friends, sibling conflict and everyday challenges. Each day, kids will make different colors of slimes that represent their emotions and learn ways to manage them. Lots of games, fun and role playing to handle sticky situations in this camp. Please pack a nut free snack and drink/water bottle.

Grades K - 5

If students are participating in both AM and PM Kids Empowered camps, they are welcome to bring a lunch and stay in the room between camps.

Welcome to Taylor Swift Craft Camp– where glitter and creativity intertwine in a magical celebration inspired by Taylor Swift! This enchanting camp is tailor-made for young fans and budding artists who want to infuse their crafts with the shimmer and sparkle reminiscent of Taylor Swift's music and style. Each day we will have two sessions of fun Taylor Swift themed crafts which include activities such as: TS personalization, make your own bracelets with our fabulous bracelet bar, glam, painting, jewelry making, and of course singing and dancing to your favorite Taylor Swift music. You will need to sign up for each day/session separately. All six sessions will have different activities.
